I've just purchased a Vintage John Galliano Cape and skirt from ebay .

Circa 1987 when he was still based in London I'm so excited!!

50ies Silk dress from Atelier Aagot Buntzen


60ies Wool Coat with slightly short sleeves
(to wear with long cream coloured gloves ) from Birger Christensen

The quality of the wool is by far superior to what one can get today.

Hanne, your grandmother's evening dress reminds me of one I bought for myself at a little junk-shop in my old hometown.

Same era, I think, and a similar luminous brocade. I bought this dress because the fabric intrigued me, it fit like it had been made just for me, and the price was very reasonable.

Got these two pair of shoes in Trinidad 4 years ago, in a little shoe store that seemed like time had frozen (all the shoes were very 40ies-early 70ies..and there were only 1 or 2 sizes left of all the pairs)..they were sold as new..but despite being good leather quality shoes..they somehow didn't look brand new but rather like somebody had been out dancing in them...or that they had been tried on by women ever since the 40ies.

Wear bold red jewelry. Big beads or smaller strands of red bead necklaces.

Since it is long I would recommend flats so it's more casual and maybe a chic vintage handbag, gold perhaps?

Hehe, hard to describe the outfit I see with this dress, but it is in my head.

I sell vintage clothing, so I love to throw together vintage and modern day finds.

These shoes were 5 euro... they look strangely bigger on camera

Dress that reminds me of Twiggy, and purple. It's a bit wide, but what can you do...

A cape... thingy...

Polka-dotted cocktail dress (I've decided). You can't really tell, but there are two little bows at the bottom of the straps. When I bought it the girl said, 'thank God someone's taking it, it was making me go blind'
