i've been on a vintage dress kick too..i'll have to take some pics of the ones i bought recently.

My current vintage-collection includes three belts, two sweaters, three pair of shoes, 10-20 scarves, one hat, two bags and two jackets. Will post pic sometime.. If i remember, that is.

I used to have so much vintage stuff, I remember posting my small collection of clutches and belts, but all of that is gone, it doesn't suit my current style. It all went back to my friend's closet.

which means if there's a comeback i can always pick it up

I went back to the store to get the gold but I noticed it was more for trim so it wouldnt work to make the whole strap then I got some beige/gold with metallic gold flecks but the yarn was horrible! It kept seperating on me as I tried to crochet it. The purse is made out of a crochet nylon so Im back to that.
Now I would like your opinions...
The bag is in between navy & black the yarn only comes in black or navy. Neither one matches completely... each is a little off so would you get the navy (maybe it would just look faded on the bag & I could back it with a black sueded material) or black? I could trim either one of them with the metallic gold since there is a little metallic detail gold in the bag.
What do you think?

Advice on vintage fashion show

Our school is hosting a vintage fashion show for charity. And I volunteered to be one of the “models”. But that was when I thought the clothes would be unique pieces but when I went over to try them on, I was not really impressed. But then again, my school doesn’t have devout fashion fanatics like here on tfs! That’s why I’m asking you guys for your opinion because they’re clueless when it comes to fashion! Anyways, here are pics of my selections. What do you think? How can I make them look better with accessories? Also, any advice on how to my makeup or can give pics from runway shows for inspiration? Should I go with the bold red lip with minimal eye makeup? Thanks!!

Outfit 1: Red jacket with a plaid high waisted skirt. I have to carry the dark green handbag. I'll be wearing my own shoes (thank goodness), which probably will be a dark green retro style heels.

Outfit 2: Blue dress with a slip. I kind of like the yellow pumps. But the dress is way too big but there wasn't much of a choice when I looked at the clothes...I'm wondering if there's a way to do minor alterations.
