Great thread! What gorgeous things you all have.

Here are a few of my favourite vintage things

60s black cocktail dress with fringes of jet black beading on the bodice

50s wool boucle coat

The jacket isn't vintage but the collar is originally from a 60s jacket that had been damaged. I can now wear it as a detachable collar or a belt. The beading is awesome

Paganne dress from the 60s or 70s. I usually wear it with a low-slung belt and knee high boots

I bought a "new" vintage dress the other day. It really looks as if it is from the turn of the century and with some wonderful detail. It's a pity I can't show more of the complete dress, but it is about knee-length, with a low-slung waistline. There is a floppy white bow at the side, and faux pearl buttons running along both the sides and the front. The sleeves are intricate and puffed, and the neckline is ruffled and intensely detailed.

I finally took pictures of my vintage clothes!

I got this one at a flea market, I'm going to make it shorter, just below the knees, so I can use it

Bronz dress

This one was my grandmothers, she made it and used it a lot

My grandmother made this one for my mom when she was 11 eyars old, it fits me

My mom owned this one when she was 13-14, I cant wear it, it's too tight around the shoulders and armpits

This one was my grandmothers, I fit in it but it's a wee bit tight.

My sister got this dress at a vintage store, I have to fix it before I can use it but it's in a good shape, just the sleeves and a few threads loose.

This is my new hat, I thought it was a bit dull on the front so I got a pearl hat-pin to make it look better

That's so cute! I like the black and lace dress too. I saw an old pic of Catherine Deneuve wearing a very similar dress...too bad it doesn't fit!
