Vintage!

^ I agree! Amaazzzing finds! I'm so jealous!

I've found a bunch (like, A LOT - Someone must have had quite the collection) of silk Dior blouses from the early 80's (I'm assuming) that I love. They're cut beautifully and are great to slip under an oversize sweater or blazer. They were in practically brand new condition with no stains or wear. The best part? $2USD each!!

Also, yesterday in the Cambridge Goodwill, I grabbed a perfect condition red Dior blazer with pearl buttons and silk lining for $6! And since I've been craving a top like Heidi's from the PR finale, I found this blouse for $4 as well :)

I found the most 'to-die-for' vintage wrap dress about a month ago...navy, just below the knee, buttons on the sleeve at the elbow, empire line with a tie waist. For just $10.00AUD...yesssssss

I'll post a picture shortly.

hey just wanted to day thanks to jadoreyoumore and haute femme! i haven't been around for a bit. thank you for your sweet comments!

i've been doing more thrift store shopping lately, and i'm really taken with finding vintage items. i realize that some of my favorite things are vintage. my leather belt with the asymmetrical belt buckle, polka-dotted blouse with pocket ties, ruffled blouse, the perfect jeans.

Thrift store.... SWIMWEAR!

What do you all think of second hand swimwear?

i think vintage underwear is gross...you're buying 50 year old crabs, pretty much.

But in my defense those I just got my mom made for me so it's not vintage, bahaha. Everything else is though (other than the UO shorts on the right!)

80% of my shopping is thrifted and vintage. I'm too poor to afford otherwise, mostly. :P

^ ewwwwWWW!

i love Vintage but underwears/shirts is where i draw the line.

same here! i love thrift shops, they're badass. the clothes are cheeeeeeeeap and it's way cooler finding pieces that aren't mass marketed...anymore. haha.

here's my outfit today which has some vintage and thrifted pieces.

-AA t-shirt
-thrifted vintage men's tuxedo pants with that satin stripe down the side
-80s vintage sorta cowboy brogues from Ebay http://www.flickr.com/photos/barbietron/2420638840/in/set-72157594381474620/
-vintage thrifted cowboy belt from years ago, probably 60s
-thrifted tiny Gap jean jacket
-silver wolf ring from the Rock Shop, a Vancouver landmark
-gold Baby ring from Mexico
-gold eagle earrings from the Rock shop again
-my own SWANclothing tote

this outfit is pretty simple i know, but i really like to make outfits
from my vintage clothes that work well and aren’t necessarily over the
top. they are modern & chic. and there are elements which are just
really personal to me. things i have owned forever… my tiny jewellery…
it also didn’t cost much in total. actually, darn, those shoes were
that Ebay bidding nightmare for me… oops.
