bought this vintage bag off Ebay a while ago:

beauty of the third world: last year i got the 2.5 chanel bag for less than $5 . no one understood what i was so excited about. i double checked with the merchant if he wanted to sell at such a low price. he said it was just a bag!

That's pretty amazing.
That's what I love about vintage - it has a secret history you aren't ever likely to find out. You can only guess.

I was just trying on some vintage furs in the only vintage shop within a thirty mile radius but they were a bit too extravagant (even for me).

I bought an old ladies' hat yesterday made of green felt (?) it was a weird shape, but what attracted me was the fact that it had a very delicate snakeskin wrapped around it.
I'm so into macabre vintage.
