leeyone, I could take 500 pictures and couldn't get one to work out like that, haha. But yours are always set up so well: lighting, coloring, positioning. It's all masterfully done. You make everything look so appealing. Do you by any chance work in some field of advertising/design?

before, I love it! Where did you get the idea?

Milada Awww. Thanks!! I work as a graphic designer/illustrator now and trying hard to be photographer/fashion designer. Hahahaha! I don't really have that much equipment (just my slr camera) I just wait for the sun to cooperate for my shots. Hahaha. And my set is just a little corner in my room.

I'm flooding you guys with photos! lol. I just found this thread so I'm just sharing some old pics with vintage finds.

The top is actually a vintage dress. I just topped it with my favourite high waisted silk skirt. Ha! The glasses are also vintage which my friend gifted to me. (I have this thing collecting vintage glasses.)

leeyone: Great things, the first dress is so pretty. I have a bag that looks very much like yours, but mine has a gold chain.

leeyone, that last outfit is so me (dressed up Russian peasant), but you've made it look so much more stylish. I think what it is, is that you make fabrics and textures look so much more rich and appealing. Also, you're added accessories always work, and go well with the props you set up in pictures. The bracelet and rose appeal so much to me and the style I'm trying to develop for myself. Where are they from? I imagine you'd find a lot of great stuff to work with at my parents' house or at my grandparents' old house, which they had since they immigrated to America but sold 2 years ago.

Thank you for the lovely comments everyone!! :ninja:

Dali ooh! I would like to see a picture of your bag!

Milada I actually am trying to collect a lot of accessories now as it really helps dress up a very boring outfit. The bracelet and leather rose pins are from a local shop here. Most of the vintage finds are just from thrift shops. Haha. I would like to believe I'm very lucky in finding good vintage stuff. Hahahaha! I would love to raid your grandparent's old house! :shifty:

^^ Cute.

This is my bag (bad phone picture)

I've been looking at Etsy and it is so amazing. And some things are actually amazing bargains that you'd be fighting for with three other people on ebay.
The thing is.. It's all in America and not everyone ships and the shipping would be expensive

Why don't they have a British version?!?

^Thank you!! :flower:

Here's another one of my favorite vintage pieces! It's a vintage Italian lace skirt (worn as a dress here)

cool thread! :) i have so many vintage stuff.. either thrifted or handed down by my grandmother and other relatives.. gorgeous things, many of them self-made.

i see that people use this word vintage so differently, some call everything that is old (even 10 years old) 'vintage', others say that only designer things are vintage. So i am confused, what does it really mean... is there a difference between vintage and just old clothes? is mass-produced 70-s stuff vintage a priori, because its 20 years old? 80-s stuff? 90-s?
when does a piece become vintage?
