Vogue Australia December 2014 : Gemma Ward by Emma Summerton

Lindsey's limited edition cover is stunning! We'll probably not get this version though.

Vogue Australia’s behind-the-scenes documentary to premiere on Foxtel

See what it really takes to put together an issue of Vogue.

December 2014 marks 55 years of Vogue Australia and to celebrate this landmark birthday, Vogue invited camera crew to document the making of the special future-focused anniversary issue. Vogue’s editor-in-chief Edwina McCann, fashion director Christine Centenera and the rest of the team were filmed fly-on-the-wall-style by filmmaker Anthony Lau as they sat in meetings, worked on shoots (with Gemma Ward, Lindsey Wixson, Janice Alida etc) and brainstormed in the office. Also, hear from the Academy Award winning visual effects house Animal Logic, who collaborated on the 55th anniversary issue, about what it was like working on a fashion project for the first time.
The documentary, titled Inside Vogue: Eyes on the Future, will premiere on Foxtel’s Arena channel at 8 p.m. on Monday November 24.

If anyone is interested, here is the mini documentary detailing the making of the December issue. A very unique process, I must say.

Thanks Al92! Always a pleasure to see fashion doccies.

After this documentary, I think I appreciate the anniversary issue so much more now. All the concepts and effort that went into it is remarkable. Christine is my new hero. She's quite a ballsy and confident girl, maintaining her ideas while collaborating with these designers. A normal fashion editor mightve been overwhelmed to operate with such a foreign medium.

I had been wanting to watch the documentary since three weeks ago and I just happened to type it into YouTube earlier and there it was! AL92 I hadn't noticed you had kindly brought it over here for us. I wanted to come back to the thread to check out the content again and I need to echo Benn98's sentiments. After watching the documentary and witnessing the amount of time, effort and processes which went into the making, I certainly appreciate and have a lot more admiration for the entire issue and the team behind the shoots. While I thought the documentary was a little short.. I still thoroughly enjoyed watching it with a cup of tea.
