All Emma Summerton's photography looks the same for this magazine. Such a borefest. And the Benny Horne edit was ruined by that filter and awful composition. No wonder he's no longer getting covers. He's gone right off, I'm afraid.

Is Capozzi a regular VOGUE Oz contributor?


While I like the clarity in Cappozzi's editorial images in comparison with the rest of the eds, they also look out of place, more like Lookbook or ad campaign images.


The set design for Dakota's ed could've really elevated and enhanced the mood but the way it's photographed here it doesn't seamlessly integrate into the story.


Totally getting mid 2000s VOGUE Italia supplement vibes a la Miles Aldridge from the cover editorial.


Can anyone ID that chain-mail dress(?) Dakota is wearing on the cover? It's quite striking!

Here I thought VOGUE Oz was taking initiative by supporting up and coming female photogs

I haven't bought an issue of VOGUE Oz for like 10 years and I'd somehow forgotten their tasteful use of reprints, at least back then. Although their original, in-house stuff was quite a breath of fresh air in both mood and editorial themes.

Dakota wears a Gucci dress, top and leggings.

The flower dress is Spring 2018, the top and leggings must be Fall 2017, at least I can't see them in any newer Gucci collection.

I must add that the current team go to great lengths to make sure the reprint content align with their direction. Sometimes I only get to the credits to find it was a reprint, which is impressive. Edwina McCann and her team for me is slowly getting their mojo back with this new direction which kicked off last September. Let's hope she continues in that vein.

The Jackie Nickerson issue was a sign that, with careful deliberation, the 'single photographer' themed issues can be brought back every now and then. A wild card every now and then will keep things interesting!
