Vogue Australia March 2017 : Cindy Crawford by Emma Summerton

She looks like Mathea, the girl who won the Vogue Paris contest on the cover :o

A larger, albeit slightly cropped version.

I'm not sure.. it's quite okay cover but for Vogue? Looks like InStyle or something.

I don´t like it... it reminds me of Vogue Mexico and that´s not a compliment.

This is pretty bad. Surprised nobody mentioned the hand sticking through the masthead-'O'. That must be the worst offence of all.

She got a new face. I guess she wants to distinguish herself from Kaia.

What. The. Hell. Is. This.

This is what happens when people ask Emma Summerton to go commercial! I get it, she's making waves right now and she's Australian, so Vogue Australia wants to be part of that discussion. Only, her style doesn't fit what this magazine should be doing.

Again, and I know many will not agree with me here, why not give the honour to Nicole Bentley?????

What should the magazine be doing, exactly? Obviously they should offer better material than this, but I'm curious to know what your vision of Vogue Australia is.

I'm just shocked they didn't find a way to shoehorn her daughter in. Something to be thankful for

If you want a vision of when Australian Vogue had it's own unique stance and personality you have to go back to the mid 80s I'm afraid. They took some really bold directions that no other Vogue's were doing back then.

A little over dramatic Benn?? Her Elle Canada cover was one of my favorite covers of last year and certainly the best Elle cover from any edition.

agreed, a bit over the top

What is was from September 2012, until December 2015. Why change what worked perfectly fine?

So disappointed. If you're going to catch up with a iconic model of the past, make Elle Macpherson's year and give her a long overdue cover. Why Cindy? It just seems random, especially without her mini me to give it any vague resemblance of relevance. Cindy is still a beautiful woman, but time has arguably dulled her sparkle - where Naomi, Linda and even Kate can still occasionally shine. On that note, why not use Cindy and celebrate her without having to reference her 'pinnacle' or past peak?

The magazine doesn't seem drastically different from those years, IMO. I dunno, Vogue Australia has never impressed me in general so I don't feel too strongly about it.
