That photo of Cindy on a chair would have made a striking cover. But I guess she wasn't wearing Dior.

Julia van Os's ed is cool, everything else I don't care about.

i see 4 much more better "cover pics" in the editorial Electric Dream with Julia van Os
Cindy Crawford cover failed

Re: Solid Gold
Anyone else find it bizarre that Vogue Australia chose to reproduce a lead editorial from W magazine? I mean, we get W in Australia as well. Seems a bit desperate/shabby trying to pass it off as their own.

^ indeed it's very strange, although not that uncommon here. i was once reading an issue of Aussie Harper's which had reprinted a Christy Turlington editorial, one of the shots was actually later used by Aussie Marie Claire as a cover! at least when they reprint from European magazines, there's a fair chance readers won't be able to see the original mag it came from. Could they not find a decent editorial to reprint that wasn't from an easily available magazine like W?

Their own content (not the Cindy Crawford edit!) are much better this time, especially the Nicole Bentley one.

I don't actually. Vogue Australia always loved reprints, but it seems this was a deal W made perhaps with the global Vogues). The edit was also reprinted by Vogue China, and I'm sure other titles will soon follow suit. The cost and time to pull these edits together is tremendous and doesn't quite equate the exposure, so it makes sense to make a bit of money off it by syndicating it across CN titles.

'Lady Dior' could be a little longer :)

Cindy is such an icon, but that cover is so unbelievably sad.
