Vogue Australia July 2009 : Myf Shepherd by Max Doyle

Very natural and charismatic cover. I appreciate a break from the desperate glamour and sexiness of most covers. :flower:

so happy it's Myf for the cover, i adore this girl, she's so fresh and natural!
Great cover it works for me!

Very Australian Vogue. Bet it was shot in Australia

I agree .. very cheap,cosmo-ish......

Australian fashion is at an all time low these days.... :yuk:

the styling looks good but it looks like a senior picture..i like the positive energy.

I don't like it. It fails on all counts for me. It's trying to be cheeky and not quite there, and they tried to make it look a bit more polished and sophisticated and fell short of that too. It's just 'blah', it lacks the 'it' factor.

I think it looks cute in person.

I think there's eds with Myf, Valeria Erokhina (who'da thought?), Emma Balfour, Magdalena (reprint I guess).

The cover looks okay. Although I don't like the grey background nor the text's colors they chose. And I'm glad Emma's got an edit, excited to see it.

Some photos they took at the studio when shooting Myf's edit:

Valeria looks incredibly different in her editorial, ive been questioning whether it is actually her ever since I bought it yesterday. There is only one shot that even slightly resembles her imo!

Also, does anyone know where the Magdalena reprint is originally from?

I love how Kristie Clemments supports & launches the careers of Australian models but this cover is very blah and I agree with you all that it is not high fashion enough, it looks like a catalogue or an ad for high street fashion chain ... Myf can serve it up & they have many resources/talent available to them so there really is no excuse for such a mediocre cover ... although its still better than a reprint ... and Vogue Australia & RUSSH are still my fave Oz mags ...

I had a flip through the mag at the newsagent; nothing too memorable, and I wasn't gonna buy it (it was 7.95 vs 9.95 for the may US (mega model issue) edition, so not a hard choice). Myf's ed's is OK, but nothing to write home about.
