Vogue China March 2007 : Gisele

I don't have a problem seeing Du Juan in nearly every issue of Vogue CHN, mainly because I love her. And it's good to see that they stick to Chinese models, not only Du Juan, also Wang Wenqin/Anna Wang, Zhang Xue, Liu Dan, Zhou Bin/Sonny Zhou and many others....appear very often.
But the magazine as a whole is boring as hell. It always take me almost 1 month to finish an issue. There's nothing exciting or inspiring in it.(well, at least most of the time)
And just as you think they might at least be able to pull off a decent cover, they just DON'T.

They try to please everyone but ended up pleasing no one.

You made the point here min-SH! There is nothing exciting or even inspiring in Vogue China! I usually don't finish reading Vogue China and just discard it. Although, Italia Vogue is two times more expensive than Vogue China here, but i find it really artistic and worth and I can read it many times.

The thing I really hate about Vogue China is that there is no any insightful or meaningful coverage over life issues! All the coverage is given toward make-up, clothes etc! I still remember that I was so excited to see Doutzen on the cover last summer and I immediately bought it! well, the next thing i remember was there was only one Elise's reprint editorial. Harper's Bazaar, on the other hand, had a cover with j.lo and an article about Winning as Second that excited me and inspired me! All I am trying to say is that Vogue China is utterly meaningless, superficial and boring! Most importantly, Vogue China is the vivid example of superficial fashion~~~~~~~~no offence! but i am so upset about Vogue China~
