Vogue China is rapidly turning into my favourite of all the international Vogues.
Every issue the editorial content is way beyond the stuff we are seeing in some of the others. OTOH the cover this month is pretty much blah.
Emily Baker seals her position as one of THE models to watch with this captivating editorial. Although I am not a fan of Karlie, I can recognise her modelling skills when I see them, and although this is the kind of studio work she can do in her sleep (a la Vogue US), the portrait shot is great and the cropped wig is working wonders. Liu's edit by Segal is wonderfully atmospheric with lovely lighting, but the 'piece de resistance' here is Jackson's beauty editorial with Carola & Ming working it for their lives in this unapologetic, high octane, full-on glamour spread.
