Vogue España January 2017 : Josephine Skriver by Patrick Demarchelier

Is this her first Vogue cover? I'm not a fan of ski covers, but this one is really refreshing. I might even get it, considering the lack of decent January covers.

Good for Josephine. But I hate the styling. So banal and heavy.

What a perfect January cover! Love everything about this, she looks fantastic.

I really dislike Josephine but she looks gorgeous here.

It's a gorgeous cover, happy to see her get her first Vogue cover.

I wish Vogue España would stop with the sports covers, they look cheap. First it was Doutzen in an orange anorak, looking like the world's most beautiful football hooligan, and now it's Skriver-on-skis.

It's not bad, but it would be great if it was on location - on a snowy mountain or a ski cabin.
There's a disconnect between the complete activewear attire and the static white studio backdrop, it doesn't make sense.

I agree! It looks cheap and dated. No amount of Modelling 101 posing can take away from such a busy cover. It's all too much, and not Vogue at all.

I would rather look at Kendall's work for US Vogue than what I've seen so far of this issue.

"The Other Hemingway" ...they're pretty starved for interesting content aren't they

Truly. This has the Elle DNA all over it.

It's odd, because VP's ski edits with Karlie actually looked chic and hf. This girl's entire edit looks more advertorial promotion than fashion story. And she's got no idea how to move around in these pieces, or make them look interesting. It's just a repetition of 'hip out to left', 'hip out to the right', and done!
