Vogue Germany October 2013 : Vanessa Axente by Luigi & Daniele + Iango

"Cool Pink" is freaking beautiful, and would have made for a less trite cover.

Alright, so I've been sold on Vanessa since those Calvin Klein adverts surfaced online but I'm failing to understand the hype here. It's not Vanessa's fault, it's all down to the atrocious post-production. There's just no need for this harsh retouching on such a youthful, radiant and beautiful face. She looks three times her age here.

Why is Luigi's name part of Daniele & Iango's now? I've wanted to know for quite some time and never found anything out. Are they in partnership or something? I don't understand how three can take credit for one single image. It's probably something trivial but would appreciate it if someone could clarify.

I would have never guessed that it is her... anyway... I think October covers are really bad this year...

I love Vanessa but her face looks so wired. It doesn't work for me.

 The editorial is even more awkward than the cover. Vanessa doesn't pull this off at all. I feel uncomfortable looking at most of those images. It all seems so forced and not sexy at all. I also don't see the Helmut Newton reference all that much, actually.

I like Valerija's editorial. But that girl hasn't ever produced bad editorial work, so no surprise there.

^ I don't see Newton either, at all. Also tired of Vogue Germany doing Marlene Dietrich hair on everyone, get over it.

I hate to say this, but she literally looks like a corpse on the cover. Somebody just forgot to close her eyes. :ninja:

I'm gonna stand alone here and say that I like it! I like how slightly 'goth' it is, she pulls off that lipstick shade and it goes so beautifully with her eyes, and I loooovvvve that stunning choker.

In comparison to the Vogue Paris October cover, I much prefer this one. I always prefer something a bit different. She looks a bit startled, but meh, maybe they were worried the whole effect would be too 'fierce' or something if she was glaring into the camera or looking sexy, who knows.

They could have pulled the Michael Douglas Interview headline down from covering the masthead though.

:sick:no words for the cover:yuk:
the edit opener pic would be an awesome cover, but i don't care that much about Vanessa

finally something good from them again! :D i love this editorial even though there are so many of them this season

so I just flipped through the issue.
Valerija's ed has more pages that haven't been posted yet.
Other than that, there's an interview with Raf and an ed shot by Sgura with Codie Young (but I'm not sure if it's really her).

I love Vanessa but this cover dosn`t work :(
