Oh well in my city I've never seen Vogue Hommes JP in Kinokuniya and I'm always cut because their content are better than most men magazines well judging from people scans it certainly seems better

I do not get why they censored it either, i mean this is not a magazine for kids,so what is the point of it? I'm sure people that buy it can stand the sight of a penis, its not that big (no pun intended) of a deal.

It's a culture/society thing. Even adult magazines and p*rn - which is intended for adults - are censored accordingly.

I have to say it's rather to stupid to go for a shoot with full nudity if it's not going to be published in full.

To all the people complaining about the censoring of the penis in Klein's editorial and saying this is a waste of photography. This is something related to the Japan's culture, as someone pointed out, even p*rn has the penis censored in Japan. VHJ is a Japanese publication, it is written in Japanese and reflects their point of view. You have to respect that other culture are different, even when it is weird for you. For those who say Klein & Nicola should not have done nudes if they know it will be censored, how about if this was their artistic statement? So you suggest no p*rn or nude art should be produced for a Japanese publication? I am just as dissappointed and would have loved to see the penises, but I also respect the artistic statement.

i thought it was surprising before i found on google it was a part of the japan culture.
and that's why now i wonder how you 'feel' fictional sex ...
the bondage thing has been done in VHI and not that way.
and i always enjoy g to see a focus on sexual-gay-bondage-the-cell (that's Steven) and not a Slimane portrait serie - which was none the less (?) good !
