Vogue Italia April 2007 : Karen Elson by Steven Meisel

Wasn't there quite a Karen gap before her December cover? More than a year, anyway. I don't think two covers in say six months is that extreme. But of course I like Karen, and I think she looks better than ever. I'd probably complain too if it was someone I disliked...

I have realized that I'm kind of conservative about Vogue covers anyway. Newish girls, yes. But I found it a bit strange, for instance, how Anna Maria got two major Vogue covers last year, without having proven really anything. For eds, bring on the newest girls! But to make the cover, I like to think you should work for it a little.

Wow, I love the editorial, it is really neat! :o And the cover is okay, but I definately prefer the editorial. I can't wait to see what else is inside!

This editorial looks so amazing- i really cant wait to get my hands on this issue.

Karen rocks hard! Italia loves her truely! This has to be like 8th or 9th cover she's done for Vogue Italy.

BORING editorial, circus has been done to death and done better than here. (only shot I like is her on the carrousel). Cover looks quite scary :ninja:

Still I'm looking forwardto Lindbergh's editorial!

Yes I couldn't agree more with you..the last cover with a relatively 'new' girl was November with Agyness. :ninja:

Don't forget Jenny Sweeny's cover for last months H/C supplement...:innocent:

WOW,i love this cover,i liked it much more than her last V.Italia cover. And her edit is fabulous.Karen is a great model,i always liked her.

I think when it comes to Vogue Italia people are a bit spoiled and almost take it for granted that models are on the cover. If a cover of Karen Elson(even though its a second one,in the short period)brings so many negative comments, maybe we need another Nicole Rchie contreversy to remind people that models on the covers are still better,no matter how many times they are used. :ninja:

I will never get sick of seeing models instead of celebs no matter how much i might dislike the certain model in question, its still better than seeing an actress of the month.

major karma...:flower:

i was just thinking that exact thing reading through this thread:
"wow, people bitching because a model is on the cover of a fashion magazine...it's blasphemy!" :innocent:

i'd rather see karen than nicole richie anyday...

and yes, it seems meisel is slipping a bit...
thinking of last years covers, there was irina, heather bratton, amanda moore, coco, hilary rhoda, agyness, karen, nicole richie (?), iselin/natasa v., and anna-maria...
except for nicole, a nice mix old and new girls...
hopefully there will be some new girls in the later issues...

As always, Karen looks stunning. The ed reminds me of a Stam's ed, also called The Greatest Show On Earth.

I just have a little wonder why Meisel don't put a new girl on cover this few months?

 great to see karen on the cover again, not her best cover though :ninja:
can't wait to see the eds :woot:

^Really nice cover. Can't wait to see Stam's editorial aswell!

I get so tired of Karen, it is almost as if she cant do anything other than pale face, red hair. Where is the versatility, why must she always be effect a vampire?

Maybe that's because she has a pale face and red hair.

Karen can look freaky, youthful, glamorous, sexy, cute, classy, raunchy. She can do it all. There are very few models who are as much of a chameleon as Karen is.
