I quite like Hugo Comte’s work. It’s obviously very 90’s, which is fine with me.

What I like about it is this: he seems to remember what an editorial is supposed to do/be. The endless stream of editorials today all lack a reason to exist...usually a uninspired collection of images of a model just standing there, looking “natural”...it’s all so boring. No one seems to be telling a story.

I get a story from Comte’s work.

Farnetti is a joke. This magazine is a joke. The team is just relying on the former glory of the magazine.

I sure do wish Farneti would inject some of that former glory into the current Vogue Italia, because this is an absolute embarrassment. Lana Del Rey on the cover of any magazine feels so... 2010.

So unbelievably glad I cancelled my standing order of Vogue Italia with my local newsagents MONTHS ago.

I think Comte's editorial is 90s done right. So many are trying to do that nowadays and failing completely. I would love to see a behind the scenes, see his process to achieve these results.

Debra is amazing and should have had the cover. Anything but Klein really but Debra... Debra is love.
