i like that joan is on the cover, but the photo they chose isn't that good. congrats too joan though, it was only a matter of time before she got her first vogue cover.

I agree. I would that I just could write wooow I love it, but it's not true. I don't like it at all. However I love the fact Joan got the cover
I also agree with Kiss Miss: She got such a beautiful face, Meisel could have done that more justice. And yes I know it's supposed to be tacky and a haute mess and stuff.
She deserves the cover so much. Only therfor I really try to like the cover

So the last three VI covers with black models have all been styled by Lori Goldstein.... C'mon Karl, it's up to you now !

I am happy for her but I hate how they photoshopped her nose. I'm not a fan of the editorial by the looks of the previews, I do admire Lori's over the top styling but I'm kind of sick of Meisel's 'ironic' editorials, especially since they look like they were shot with a £25 digital camera more so than before.

Beautiful face, but that cover doesn't go anywhere near being 'over the top', especially given the previews we've seen so far. In this particular image, throwing together a bunch of clashing textures and colours isn't really adding up to anything that extraordinary for me.

This is awful! It looks like a cover shot from i-D magazine. All that is missing is the signature wink!

This is probably one of the worst covers Meisel has ever shot. I understand the irony in the photo shooting, but still, this is giving me a headache. The colours, the general aesthetic - it just doesn't work. The creative direction here is awful!

Disappointing. I miss the early 2000's for Vogue Italia. Now those was incredible magazines!
