SO happy to finally see Joan on a VI cover, i think she looks fab but yet I think its impossible for her not to. I love the styling, definitely over the top and definitely fun. So excited for the editorials now after seeing the Gifs, I love them all esp Stam, Coco and Lindseys are bananas!

Not that fascinated with the cover shot, Joan appears to be caught off-guard and a camera shoved in her face. None of the previews have done anything for me, and I'm forever a one for #overthetop tackiness.

But then again you have never really liked Daphne's look have you going on previous posts? I understand you dislike the girl but try giving her a break.

I'm also one of many happy for Joan, she deserves it but the cover does nothing for me though.

I give the cover a big thumbs up, although the anal retentive nit picker in me really, really, really wishes that her hand was half an inch lower and the fingernail was not positioned so close to her eye. Whew now that I have gotten that out, Joan looks very beautiful and in command on the cover. Really if you look at it, save the extreme eye make up and nails, it is a very straight forward beauty shot and Joan's beauty and head-chick-in-chargedness is owning it, OWNING IT! This is one of the most confident covers I have seen in a while and that is saying something considering that Daria W., Karolina, Kate Moss and Natalia have graced recent covers. The only cover that I can say is in the same league as this one, maybe even better, is Kate Moss' recent W cover, but other than that, Joan brought the boss in a way that no one else has recently.

After seeing the other girls, I was expecting more OTT to be honest, but Joan looks slightly less OTT, so maybe this works better for the actual cover and then the contents can be as out there as possible.
I've never been one for saying models/stars 'deserve' covers, but I will say that for a model of Joan's stature, a Vogue cover was well overdue.
