Vogue Italia November 2024 : Lana Del Rey by Steven Meisel

A tear may have formed in my eye at the sight of this unexpected collaboration, I was *shook* in the bus. It's beautiful, it's timeless, it's a perfect combination of both artists and I can't wait to get my hands on this!

I don’t care that it’s reductive. I NEED! I really hope it’s exclusive, though not part of the whole global thing.

Never thought the day would come when the little *black* riding hood would get represented by fashion and photographed by Meisel:wub:. So inclusive!

I love Lana...just wished a different outcome...hope there is more pictures...

The fly away hairs on the cover ruin, what could have been iconic. Love her smile tho!
The ed is fantastic, and I don't care if it's nothing new, the portraits are beautiful.

The cover is nothing to write home about. The retouching is really bad.
The ed looks nothing like Meisel, it could be just as well shot by one of his assistants. It's too digital and artificial for my liking.

this is a cover that Edward could have done under Vogue UK .... the editorial photo also reminds me of Sofia Coppola's editorial by Meisel for Vogue Italia 2013 and Adele for Vogue UK by Meisel

What a cover! What a surprise! I am living for this right now. Absolutely flawless cover shot from Steven Meisel, as per usual. I love the head square, the makeup, the composition, the infectious and energetic smile from Lana, and how monochromatic it is. All just executed to perfection...

Del Rey's smile is just so beautiful! The cover is perfect in every way. It just radiates joy. I too love the head square, the makeup, and the closeup shot. The cover is nostalgic and modern at the same time.

im happy for Lana but Steven Meisel never tires of taking the same photos, lighting, poses, styling over and over again. For the last 5 years, he hasn't told us a story in his photos.

I think the hair is supposed to give a spontaneous "windswept" look of a 1960s ingénue, hence she's wearing a headscarf women would put on back then on a windy day. Though, he could've gone with a different background (outdoors instead of a gray wall) that would've translated better.
