Vogue Italia October 2010 : Mariacarla Boscono by Steven Meisel

Nothing makes me happier than a Steven studio editorial:wub: It's fabulous.

I don't like the "Mariacarla, vera Italiana" ed, why? simply because i don't see any Italy in those garments, i don't see any suggestion of Italy in those poses/facial expressions either...i mean, i was expecting something very a la Dolce f/w 10.11 campaign...now that's "vera italiana" you guys!!!!!

^Its Maria Carla who makes it Italiana.

Very lovely cover, this cover is much better than the September's one with Kerr & the ed is fantastic.

I keep coming back to this thread just to see Mariacarla's editorial. Her expression here makes her look insane but that's why I love it so much... I'm so not used to seeing this in a fashion magazine.

What a fantastic issue. Mariacarla's ed is just so quirky and fun. Im loving georgina's as well. It completely evokes glamour. Plus, Dorothea's Ed is so simple yet lovely. Overall, it's a great issue.

This actually sounds like a pretty interesting issue.

^ agree, much better than the september one.

Only 4 main eds? No matter how good they me, it's still a dissapointment.

^ I can't agree more. Sounds like a weak issue. When I saw that gorgeous cover I expected more. This mag has been very disappointing lately.

I'm eager to see power showcased through visuals that don't rely on the usual sexual and/or violence imagery and I feel I could love the cover for that (as some of you do ) ... but I find it a bit too literally vintage looking... The power of creativity is not really showing
On the other hand, I'm in love with the main story
Thanks for scans

Can't wait to see more contents

Four eds seems exceptionally few for Vogue Italia... I hope, at least, that their quality will be excellent

I loved the main editorial and suggestions, but I'm dying to see the other ones! They look so promising!

Re there only being four eds, there are quite a few supplemental items and Suggestions was 15 pages give or take, so I am wondering if the content shifted rather than was downsized. I don't want to prematurely go to bat for VI but if there is good stuff all around but it happens to be slotted in the supplement sections, then I am OK with that and furthermore appreciate Franca and Co. allocating pages based on quality of work rather than the name of the photographer.
