The cover shot really really really doesn’t do its story "Un Nuevo Amanecer” justice. Typical Emma in concept, it’s very pretty, end-of-summer on a magical afternoon, as seen through a magical prism vibe to the shoot. I can understand the decision of the more commercial/accessible select of the covershot since the story is on the quirky side with its airy, fairy-princess styling. Emma has another story, “Creation Natural” which is equally pretty and full of saturated, autumn colors and full of mood. And more than the fashions stories, the art direction from page to page is so effortless, easygoing, and simply elegant. It’s too bad the advertisers’ creatives don’t live up to Vogue Mexico’s AD since it shows how hard the team makes the effort to pay attention to every single detail. And they haven’t forgotten that the August issue is generally this unofficial preview to autumn. SO as pretty as it all is-- there's a tinge of melancholy to the end of summer to the imagery. It's a solid issue.
