Vogue Mexico & Latin America March 2023 : Mabel Cadena by Damien Krisl

Lovely! I wish this came out sooner, would've been such a stunning cover to tie in with the movie.
Mabel was so fierce in that role. I got blackmailed into going because I cannot stand superhero movies, but that was so beautifully shot. Especially the water people

I do think the cover needs a bit of work. Was unnecessary to cover her unusual beauty to this degree. I'm guessing the gaudy serpent piece is Bulgari? The head was enough, having the body in the shot as well makes the entire thing look like she's holding a shower.

Hope she'll get Latin America as well!

The concept required an attitude, a fierce and piercing stare to pull off the serpent and the close-up. She looks like a smiling toddler, clumsily holding that snake like a toy. Terribly amateur photograph and therefore a terrible Vogue cover, once again. Will it ever end?

Exclusive for Mexico, Latam covers will be shown later.

Dont like it at all, the necklace placement ruined everything, it didnt connect with the expression. If she was losely holding it with an intense glare it would have worked or they would have just draped it over her neck. Nice colours though and a much deserved cover.

Theres gonna be a Big retrospective of Cartier in México City next months and the María Félix pieces are gonna be shown.

This cover reminds me to the classic beauty portraits of Irving Penn from US Vogue, but the cover girl doesn't fit with that pose. I hope the edit will be better.

Now it makes sense! Thanks
Hope the editorial will feature more pieces, maybe those will be better captured.

It's great how this Vogue edition consistently supports their own and mostly captured well. If globalisation for Conde Nast means just more Rihanna and Beyonce reprints that get's released in UK/US first then bugger that, this is the right way to go.

Karla should create Vogue Argentina already because the last issue here still the October cover with Camilla Cabello!!! Like this magazine vanished here. We are now 4 issues behind.

Oh, come on! They seriously went with the take where she looks like she's simultaneously cringeing and struggling to keep that scarf on her head?! The colors are very lovely and this could've been a nice cover if a single person involved in this paid any attention. It doesn't take much...

Another singer again, but from their first musician cover in early 2018 to this, she's the first one I like her work. Her sound is pretty alternative to the mainstream music in Latam, and makes her so likeable. About the first one, I know that reference is María Félix, but I found it quite Egyptian. Like the story of Cleopatra and the snake. It's nice.

Meh...also in 2023...they need to hire a decent creative director...

The Mabel cover looks plain dumb. Bad lighting, awkward pose and expression. Looks like she’s holding a d*ck

The second cover looks interesting, very soothing colours. Always been a fan of Micaiah's work.
I see Sergio Kletnoy is credited, what's that all about? I thought he only consult for US Vogue covers. He's slowly becoming the most influential person at US Vogue after Anna.
