Vogue Mexico & Latin America May 2017 : Lara Stone by Giampaolo Sgura

Gorgeous!! I love them all! This is how you do it. The layout still needs a lot of work

I love them. Specially because the tag is about women and power but she´s styled in a really femenine way.

So the first one is for LA? (gotta say that I think it´s the best one) and Mexico´s a foldout?

I prefer the third one, the first one looks too telenovela for my taste with all that gaudy jewels. But overall it's a great and attention-grabbing selection of covers. Lara's strong point is simple sex appeal, and Sgura captured it perfectly here.

We are not even two years into Karla's tenure and she already gave us so many memorable covers, some with Colls and Sgura, of all people. Finally etching out an much needed aesthetic for this edition. Kudos!

I usually don't like her but i have to admit she looks really pretty here. The 1st cover is the best..

Lara at her best. Really good, and I am not a fan of Sgura

Yes! The pink one is for us. Love the third, with the Marilyn dress. The april issue of VLatam had a fold-out. Hope to see the same in this one. Oh man, Lara is so

Sublime covers, indeed. After the rough Vogue Germany May cover, I'm glad to see Lara looking classy and feminine here. The hair is very glamour and the make up is just what's needed. I don't like the styling on the first one, so if I had to choose, it'd probably be between the 2nd and the 3rd cover.

The rough-- and very amateurish cut-and-paste of the seamless alone is laughable. Coupled with the photography-- all looks like mid-range department-store billboards.

This Sgura guy... I mean, good for him I guess for getting paid to infest all these Vogues with his brand of cheapness.

I don't think her dull expression goes with the styling, should've put a bit more of charisma into it.

They'll never be edgy, Phuel. The Mexican edition, I mean. It will always be excessively commercial due to the vast demographic they must appeal to. Same goes for any edition edition with an audience exceeding 150K. Look at what's happening with your beloved Porter.....

Re Sgura, I think he's really more of a photographic consultant. Because that's actually what he does when he starts working for a new edition. He develops a style which in his mind will appeal to his client's audience. His work for InStyle matched the mood of that magazine, same for the Vogue Germany, Vogue Japan, and now Vogue Latina America edition. In that sense he's very versatile (no pun intended, :lol) and perceptive. Look at these covers. They wouldn't suit the German or Japanese Vogue, nor InStyle. He's not like a niche photographer who will run across the globe rehashing the same crap over and over again (Ellen von Unwerth/Weber), and that's fine. I can certainly appreciate such an approach, although people could argue that he lacks consistency.
