Vogue Mexico & Latin America September 2022 : Anitta by Rafael Martínez

How is possible to get that low? it looks so amateur!, didn't karla Saw what Vogue Brasil did with her? TERRIBLE.

Previews:

I’ve checked the photographer and stylist (with great body) ig accounts…nothing much interesting to bring them to do a Vogue Cover…

That Editorial is Outlet mall catalog at best…

I only like the close up cover. The previous issue was tagged for Latin America, but it wasn't published here. I hope this one comes here.

Make her happen? Come on! She’s a multimilion singer and business woman, graced covers from Vogue to Número and very famous in latin world. She already happened whatever you want or not
Ok Anitta's orange

Honestly, I was expectint another cover with Yalitza Aparicio. This is terrible.
I think they're trying to make the same impact as Yalitza's cover month after month. That might be the reason Karla stop picking fashion models for the covers, which is a shame, because most of the covers with models under her direction were really good. This magazine went in this way since Yalitza's issue (first antecedent was Camilla Cabello in 2018), and even more after the global deal.

These people are clueless...

This had the potential to be really good because it's giving me Nastassja Kinski for US Vogue. What a shame.

I miss the old Vogue Latam! Two days ago I was cleaning my room and I stopped after finding my oldest magazines. I can't believe how good this edition was. Really a shame.

Although it's infested with reprints from other editions, I commend their team for featuring artistic images for their articles this month.

With just a single original lonely fashion story, you’d think they’d make more of an effort to elevate it just a tad above any given Insta filler gallery. Regardless of one’s opinion of Annita— she’s a pretty woman with so much potential for something to remember. The reprints dominating the rest of this issue simply sucks the once strong and vibrant unique identity out of this Vogue. When the best imagery of a September issue are two digital illustrations, that speaks everything about the empty cold husk that was pure joy and warmth of a smaller Vogue.

And such bland, timid, depressing, lobotomized art direction to boot. Fernando must be ROTFL whenever he sees another meek attempt at art direction from this Vogue.

Their last good one was September '21. After that, really painful to see. I look more my 2016/2020 collection than current issues.
