Vogue Mexico & Latin America September 2023 : Cardi B by Alique

I like Cardi B because she's fun as hell. She made laugh a lot during the pandemic, so I celebrate that kind of personality. Not a fan of her music, but I had a blast watching some of her IG lives on Youtube.

No fan of Cardi B's music here but these are, without question, some of the strongest September covers we've seen! Absolutely love how Cardi has photographed via Alique's lens, love the photography overall, the styling and the beauty styling serves Cardi justice. It's all just so perfectly executed, that I cannot help but to instantly love this.

I adore Alique, so this result wouldn't be different. I do enjoy hearing a song or two Cardi did, I think... most of ones I do enjoy are collabs but even so she adores fashion. I do think result speaks for it self!

Alique is a great photographer indeed. I love how Karla introduced over the years people like Alique herself, Chris Colls, Carlijn Jacobs and Daniel Clavero, and now they are working everywhere (by the way, I miss Colls regular collaborations here, even I spot some unfair hate on his job), and makes this magazine different from the rest in a good way. Too bad she couldn't avoid American and British Vogue contents as most of the Vogues, but her direction remains strong. It helped she has been always diverse and open from the day one, never forced to change her direction as Vogue France or Germany.

The blue coat looks like something one of those aliens from Predator would love.
