Vogue Nippon January 2011 : Gisele Bündchen by Mario Sorrenti

i really like this mario sorrenti high contrast/strong colours aesthetic, very much like "darker is the memory" in Naples. edita's faces and poses are indeed very repetitive, but i think they work here, seem to be on purpose, as well as the shiny fabrics and leopard prints, it all fits the title. it's not better than the other one i mentioned nor the ones in Rio and Tokyo, but it's quite nice and there seems to be some irony to it, as if it's kind of mocking itself.

Edita's story reminds me of Carolyn Murphy by Testino for Vogue Paris September 2003.

^ Ahhh, I know! It sort of does.

I got this issue. I really love all the three fashion eds inside. The theme 'Icons' is interesting too, even if it has been dealt with a hundred times in many magazines.
Edita's ed is phenomenal in print. I cannot but admit it's one of the best eds she has ever done. (Forget about my post above ) And it has become a treat to see Sorrenti's work in VN. I'd love to see it regularly.
Guinevere's ed makes this issue worth buying too.

But I'm a little confused... is this a 136 pages supplement? or just a section inside the main issue?

Kate's pages are part of the main issue. :)

^Supplement cover is gorgeous! Thanks for the post, vogue28!

I don't know to me the "Vogue beauty" editorial is lame and boring but the rest is nice
