YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! The cover is BREATHTAKING! One of the most glamorous, decadent, gorgeous magazine covers I have seen in some time! I love how the crystal Prada dress (which was destined to be on a cover) is juxtaposed with the neutral, sandy background. It is almost like diamonds in the rough
! And the minimal use of text makes everything just pop. Perfection!
As for the large editorial, I must say that I was not expecting this at all. Then again, Carine ALWAYS surprises me! I love how it is split up into three different shoot locations. It's almost as if a story is being weaved from three different locations, almost like the film
Babel. The shots of Dree, Freja (SO nice to see her in
VP again!), and Lara have controversial written all over them. Who else besides Carine has the balls to mix veils with satin lingerie

Anja's jewelry editorial is FANTASTIC!!! I LOVE the snakes! So sexy and dangerous. These shots remind me of the famous Avedon photograph of Natassja Kinski with the python wrapped around her body.
I CANNOT wait to get this issue in my hands! Easily the best magazine cover of the year thus far, and one of the most interesting, thought-provoking editorials.
)... but I still can't get motivated/excited so far.
