Vogue Paris February 2012 : Daria Werbowy by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin

Daria's editorial seems rather incoherent and not utterly exciting, to be honest.

Meanwhile, that Elvis guy is beyond cute, I take him any time.

The main ed is simply disappointing.. It cannot be more boring.

Underwhelmed by Daria's editorial, although I really liked most of the studio shots. Really disappointed they used Catherine in the western themed ed, had been looking forward to seeing her! Not a fan of western themed editorials and the one with Daria was enough!

This 1st edito is really not her best. I prefer the second one.
But her fans are lucky because the edito is about 73 pages in this vogue Paris

I think the most I got from that main editorial was a sense of achievement from having forced myself to look through every image until the end.

Every image posted from this issue is too derivative for comfort (and no, I don't expect anything to be original because references and inspiration are the backbone of art/fashion).

uhm where is the Balenciaga in that main ed? And of all things Chanel, why that? -sigh

I love the cover - very nice. But the main editorial is quite dissapointing, because we've seen it before. For me it's almost the same like the one from august 2011 issue, but only with one model. Eventhough, I love to see Daria, who delivered great stuff again. Also Aline's edd looks familiar (remind me of Anja's edd from some old VP issue). So for me, there is many things that has been done in a new way. But I believe I will buy it anyway :)

Aline, Catherine and Kendra's eds are very nice. Daria's is soso. Only like most of the studio shots.

I don't understand those studio shoots between the 'Las Vegas' story. Is the ed supposed to follow a story?

i dont think there is a story for the ed. how can u do a story with 66 looks. lots of people have complained that the ed is lacked of direction, so can you tell me what kind of direction can and ed with 66 looks have?

What a spectacularly bad issue. I was so excited that Daria would get an entire issue dedicated to her and was 100% sure I would love it. And then this is the result :ninja: Everything looks the same as the last issues. How many times haven't we seen that cowboy thing going on? And the collection editorial looks practically the same as last year's August editorial. Everything just looks so repetitive and I'm bored of it.

I wish Emmanuelle would push the envelope more and bring some fresh talents to the issues. Not using the same stylists, photographers and ideas over and over again.

Also, is 'Une fille, un style' gone from the magazine?

seems like it. I really loved that feature and will never understand why it was cancelled. it's yet another reason I don't buy VP anymore.....
