Vogue Paris October 2021 by Guy Bourdin

^ I literally gasped when I saw that... i really thought Daria was having a comeback TTATT

Funny to see Eniko's editorial at VP instagram and Carine was tagged and mentioned...So the peace arrived?

I got my print copy today, and while the page count is impressive for 2021 (400+ pages), I'm very underwhelmed, because all the pages just blur into one, you can barely distinguish between the adverts and the editorial images. So not only is there no new content, there's no real sense of curation either.

I've just realised the editorial content appears on the left-hand page for a lot of the issue, with adverts taking prominence on the right-hand page, so no wonder it feels strange and insubstantial.

Mine arrived ripped in transit, so I'm considering ordering another copy, because - while disappointing - this issue does represent the closing chapter of a certain era.

^The majority is available online. The issue is average, for example I like Helmut Newton - the photos is very easy too find on the Internet. All issue looks like someone choose random photos.

I get what you’re saying but no I’d like the HD photos from the magazine, if there’s a link to a website that has them in better quality from THIS issue that would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone can post the Saint Laurent supplement? Thanks

I saw a lone copy at Barnes & Noble yesterday, and was completely underwhelmed.
Bourdin was amazing, but that cover image just falls flat, for such an important issue.
Lots of pages, but just flipping through it, brought me no joy. Just a blur of ads, and forgettable snippets, of forgettable stories.
Alt totally phoned it in.

The book from the 100 years is out and it looks good...not that thick but good...and inside there are some Testing photographs...i remember one with Lisa Wrinkler from 1999 i think...The cover is Catherine Deneuve...

Guys, i've just received the Saint Laurent supplement that came with the October issue. It is fantastic! the cover is Kristen McNemany by Juergen Teller from 1994...Inside Newton, Bourdin, Bailey photographs all mixed up. 44pgs...

Surprised to see not one but two Terry Richardson pictures...and also 3 from the Carine era...

It comes with a more catalogue-paper..a little thick...

Do you live in France or Europe? Here in Brazil this issue came open, with no supplement :ermm:

I bought it on Ebay because only in France came with the supplement as far as i know...

Also the format is a little bigger than VP, not much but def bigger...

If this was made 10 or 15 years ago, it would had +800 pages. VI anniversary Issue (I don't remember if it was the 2013 special or the 2014 anniversary) has around 700 pages.

This issue is still in stock on Journaux.fr. They have french version with supplement, I guess. Outside EU shipping in envelope is 18€

Against my better judgement I bought a copy of this when I visited Indigo (to pick up a book I pre-ordered a few days ago). I flicked thru it and didn't think anything of it, I haven't purchased an issue of Vogue Paris in 4 or 5 years. Maybe it would be nice to flick through a magazine on a weekday morning again with a latte.

Well, well, well. I wish I had flipped thru it because it was a pretty pitiful sight. I always appreciate seeing archival re-prints, but as tigerrouge said everything blended together. It didn't seem to have a point of view as an anniversary issue, it was very: "Here look at some old pictures from our archives. Byeeeee!"

Then I came here and read about all the changes with Vogue and Conde Nast. Good lord, good luck to the new Vogue France, because it already does NOT look good. Vogue Paris with REPRINTS? I cannot!!!

Is this issue still available in France? Is for a friend. He wants this one and he has a contact there. Thanks!
