Vogue Singapore Issue #2 : He Cong & Malika Louback by Nathaniel Goldberg

Looks to me like Norman will be the Asian Farneti. I just don't get how someone with so much experience put out something like this. Just goes to show how specialising in menswear doesn't necessarily mean you'd be a hit with womenswear.

This cover even makes Vogue Thailand look good. The Vogue factor is missing and the art direction looks so cheap and lifeless. Also, maybe the models would have been better on their own because their body frames are not similar and that's distracting.

Terrible cover. Daniela Paudice ready ruins Vogue China on the few times she styles for the magazine, and now she'll add Vogue Singapore to the list as well?

Harper’s Bazaar at best

Male EICs have been terrible and makes you wonder if they do belong in Vogue (except Edward who at least tries)

At this moment, I am more intrigued about their frequency than the covers - seems like they will be publishing issues every two months? It's probably not the debut they were hoping for. Interesting that there's no media kit on their website (or on CN's global one), you can only email them about the advertising.

Probably because they have to build up their reach and demo/infographic stats.
Better no media kit than one showing you've got 11k followers.

The shot is not bad but so catalogue. In this case more text would’ve worked better.

The lack of spark is alarming in this cover. I will never stop by if I see it in a newsstand.

The filter that they used on the white cover is very outdated. If they will continue to produce this kind of cover in their upcoming issues, I doubt that their magazine will have a longevity that they have planned knowing that the print media is already dying.

Don't mind it that much, but the Spark font is just hideous. I really don't get how someone looks at this and thinks "great! that's the one!"

I can't blame them. At least they've tried to make something festive

ugh that video reminds me of some outdated ANTM promos. Proves that this magazine has no direction at all.
