Vogue Ukraine February 2018 : Aymeline Valade by Tung Walsh

I once asked an acquaintance to buy me an issue of Vogue UA in Kiev - I thought you can buy it in like every newsstand kiosk like Russian Vogue in Russia.

Turned out it's not that easy to find it there. and it's pretty pricey considering the economic situation in the country. So idk who is their target audience really. Probably the 2% of the population.

Yet they don't sell online and you can really only get it at the CN store in London. I don't get their strategy.
I wonder if it'd be easier to get a VU in Moscow.
The contents are in Russian after all (although they are sweet enough to put some brief English translations on the last few pages).
Russia should be their primary target i suppose.

They don't sell VU in Russia! And I can understand, considering the political climate and the fact that Russia has their own Vogue.

VU is in Russian because a big part of the population speaks/understands the language. But I'm surprised they haven't switched to Ukrainian yet, as it is the official language after all. Again, wondering who the target audience is? VU and its purpose for existing remain a mystery to me.

I love the choice of eyewear, they really elevate this cover and give it that cool edge.

Very current but looks fresh/doesn't look like the rest.

This edition of Vogue is a hidden treasure. It's a big WOW for me.

Okay, Juergen Teller bootleg. Boring cover. But, good look for Tung and his book.

Not too mad about the editorial, too Teller for my taste. But I LOVE Hana's edit. She's such an underrated model who consistently deliver great work. The styling is very tricky to pull off, but came up smiling.

Love the cver and ed, for some reason the colours make it work.

Even though the price is considerably high for the country, magazines are sold in magazine kiosks and usually get sold out in quite short period of time (even in towns with 400,000 population, where I have bought multiple copies)
Also, their website and social media is available in both Ukrainian and Russian, maybe they will switch soon? who knows.

Anyway, to see the cover of Vogue Ukraine becomes my biggest wish and motivation to surf on TFS. it always surprises me with its high quality

Love the Cover ed but the Hana editorial screeches this issue back to obscurity.
