Pretty unbelievable how the quality of the magazine has blatantly decreased since last month's issue, in my opinion Looks like they - whoever they refers to - chickened out and finally decided to get back to their bland, forgettable, covers and contents. The editorials aren't that bad, but well, they still don't make the issue worth buying. Mariacarla's must be the most pleasing thing about it I suppose.

It's nice to see "W" doing something other than neon colors. I like the major ed, even though not seeming to flow gently; the black and white and sudden smiles make it look random. The cover is nice and natural with two prety faces, but if they are trying to create a more sombre attitude, they really should rethink the font style. The "plasticky" looking letters in the cover doesn't suit at all and that "W" looks like a displaced crown...

Weird. I think this issue is miles ahead of last month's.

I don't watch Mad Men and only have a passing familiarity with Jon Hamm and I did not know who Rebecca Hall was before this issue but when I saw this at the bookstore I liked how inviting and down-to-Earth the cover was compared to previous issues. This issue is worth buying for Alasdair McLellan's editorial alone.
