W February 2017 : The Movie Issue by Craig McDean

There are 10 issues a year so there is no January issue.

My favorites are Viggo/Adam & Amy/Matthew. That said, none of these covers are very "cover worthy", there´s something drab about the styling imo.

It's veeeery T Magazine.

Darling, I know... I'm just asking about the "january" because they always put something like "December/january" or "January/February" issue and they just jump this year. Strange...

What the hell is that shot with Ruth & Natalie? Are they about to make out?!!

Otherwise i quite like this, especially that cover with Ali & Kidman, stunning!

Oh and no Viola and Denzel? SERIOSULY!!!!

To me a sign that Viola might be covering US Vogue February... all the other Oscar contenders are here.

I love Nicole and Mahershala's and Amy and Matthew's covers.

The covers are meh, some of the shots in the editorial are amazing, especially viggo's, naomie harris, adam driver and chris pine's

I'm with you on that, otherwise it makes no sense. Viola is the strongest contender for the Best Supporting Actress win, W would be crazy to pass up on that opportunity.

As far as the covers go, they're not bad but they're not great whatsoever. There are far stronger images inside.

Let's hope Viola wasn't able to partake as she's landing US Vogue... Nicole Kidman looks spectacular in her shot?! They're very boring covers for the most part, but Nicole does look great. I also admire the choice of shot for Adam and Viggo's cover. When was the last time two men embraced on the cover of a mainstream magazine!

All the cover are okay, but I like Amy and Matthews the most.

There is no real reason why Viola didn't get the cover unless she is on the February cover of Vogue. So let's all hope that she is the cover girl, because she is sure to win Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes and hopefully The Oscars.

Ugh. W Magazine keeps lowering the bar.

This is truly hideous. The images are so cold and so sharp and contrasty. This hyper-filtered digital photography is so passé looking. There is no artistry here.

I don't know whether to be angry or laugh at how awful these are. McDean is better than this. The photoshop is out of control (everyone looks like a wax figure!), and the shots are all so laughably absurd and male gaze-y (for lack of a better term). I'm trying to be objective here but I have to say it... this just sucks.

And shooting Garbage Affleck from the angle of a woman's crotch? You have got to be kidding me...
