Prints, vibrancy and colour is in, perhaps to lift the mood somewhat. The collections are not looking as conservative as past showcases and i see very little dark tones to the garments, limited shades of grey, brown etc.. on the runway this season, no?

Yes, i agree ! Also i think that white is going to be the new black... Look at al the runwayshows (especially the beginning of D&G), it's al white white white !
Love it

wait, I thought "black was back" (or something like that)

I'm in the camp that says black is never REALLY out, but in response to your topic, some of the early NY collections actually used aLOT of black. And with a heavy hand at that so they didn't even look like spring.

I'm no expert, but, generally speaking, aren't spring collections usually devoid of black?

i really avoid black -mainly because everyone is wearing it at the moment and it IS the obvious choice- but... i think its still going strong ...at least in NY as curious just posted

it may not be as strong as last season...... but its quite impossible for black to be called OUT.... it may be a less stronger or stronger trend depending on the general mood of the season...... ...but it will ALWAYS be a staple......

Yep. And even if designers don't show a scrap of black on the runway, the stores carry it. People want black, so of course they're going to make and sell it.

Everyone will have something black to wear in their closet..so yea, I'm basically one of those people who wears black regardless of the season.

I've been wearing a lot of black this season, but I believe it's about to change when spring comes

Black out?? what?? I've been buying more black than ever but I'm a guy so maybe it doesn't count?? But the big rocker look involves a lot of black and faded black skinny jeans...and thats not over yet... I think we'll see more black this winter in London... H&M have stocked up and so have a few other high street stores... just my 2 pence really!

Black will always be a classic and basic color. Personally, I really don't care about whats "in" or "out" though.

yea, I'll never stop wearin black. Its a great color. Half my closet is black. For me its a comfort thing.

Black will never really be out but in spring black always seems to eb a bit out-er simply because gorgeous floral or light colours fit at that time.

hmmm.... black was shown quite a bit in NY... and the other collections still showed a darker palette than usual... personally i live in black, so it will always be "in" ;P

black is back and bigger than ever...

even the colours that are being used now have black in them...
because most of them have a 'dusty' hue...
meaning there is a bit of black in them...

colour and vibrancy?...
where?....
:ermm:

Well, Softgrey sort of ended all discussion there :D

I love black, i wear lots of black

I would say that this fall is extremely black, and as people said before me, the spring is less black, but its really really black now... :P
