What Are You Reading?

i think the title is also off putting... i didn't have high hopes when i read it a while back, but then couldn't put it (or the subsequent books) down...

am also sad that the author passed away...
would have loved if there were more books in the series...
though three is also a good number...
i could see the themes getting old relatively quickly once the novelty wears off

**also, i would definitely echo those who mentioned the historian
it's a really great read and not your typical vampire book...

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, etc. are not Stieg's original titles. The series was called Men Who Hate Women originally. ^_^

Stieg was working on a 4th book before he died, so he never finished it. :(

actually "the girl who played with fire" is the original title, i don't know why they chose different titles for the other books. but still better than the german versions...our books are called "Blindness", "Perdition" and "Absolution"

and the third book is pretty boring so far, i'm just not interested in every little detail, sometimes it goes on and on for pages and i just lose interest =/

^I can't wait to read that book. I just watched the BBC miniseries starring Ruth Wilson and Toby Stephens, but I haven't read the book yet. I do own it though. :D

I don't know why but this book was in my head for a long time and finally I start reading it. It's like a back to primary school :D

Astrid Lindgren -
Six Bullerby Children

I just finished Stieg Larsson - Men Who Hate Women. Very good!

^^oh god i LOVED Astrid Lindgrens books as a kid...always wanted to live in Bullerbü and be like Ronja or Pippi:lol: i can always re-read her books along with Michael Ende's and Enid Blyton's:heart:

The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton.

Another of those books from the high school lit canon that I somehow missed.
