What Are You Reading?

Just finished Orange Is the New Black by Piper Kerman. Just as good as the show, if not better. Such a great read.

A Good Man is Hard to Find, And Other Stories by Flannery O'Connor

and

Overdressed: The Shockingly High Cost of Cheap Fashion by Elizabeth L. Cline

I really love reading but I'm feeling very unfocused right now :( I'm between FOUR books right now:

The Amber Spyglass, by Philip Pullman - I started reading the series in April last year  I liked the second installment but have weird feelings about this one... then again, I was never one to read fantasy.
Big Sur, by Jack Kerouac - I don't think I like Jack that much :ninja:
Collected Short Stories by Saki - this one is fun! But the stories are very short and I feel no sense of commitment.
Poetics, by Aristotle - I ordered this one along with a couple classic plays by the Greek. I thought maybe it would inspire me to start reading again. Not working so far... :(

I'm reading The Duchess of Windsor: The Uncommon Life of Wallis Simpson. It's incredibly well researched and detailed.

Started reading Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman today, it's my first time reading anything by him, so I'm excited.

I've just finished Les Revenants (The Raising) by Laura Kasischke. Awesome book!

Daughter of Fortune by Isabel Allende

I really like this book, the story is compelling and I'm always up for reading a good historical period novel. Plus, Allende's writing is just beautiful.

^ I have to read some of Isabel Allende's work at some point, if anyone got a suggestion for a good book to start with of hers, it will be greatly appreciated.

^ Not sure if this qualifies, but I've only read City of the Beasts and absolutely hated it... I enjoyed the part I watched of the film for The House of the Spirits, however.

just finished The Sense of an Ending by julian barnes. i really liked it, though i found it profoundly sad.

Chrissy, i'm so curious to know your thoughts on this book. :flower:
