i can only hope that they solve this problem and quickly because i can always let one coat dry but as soon as i have to apply another i always end up smudging them or getting nailvarnish on the furniture

Yep, that happens because you have to wait at least 30 minutes between coats. Even though they feel dry, try to wait anyway, because they will dry faster with the 2nd coat on.
Also, try not to dip too many times, only dip once for each nail, because that way you will paint faster and not dissolve the 1st coat that much.

After all that, try not to do anything with your hands for another 20 minutes just for the sake of beautiful nails!
