Just a couple looks.

Short satin cocktail dresses
Flowy chiffon skirts
Black crepe tuxedos
Velvet evening gowns
Backless dresses
High slingbacks

* Soft flowing skirts
* Flip flops
* Tight singlet tops
* Light colours (white, green etc)

White dresses and flat sandals in beige and gold. And chunky shell jewelry or big colorful beads to compliment. I love wearing white in summer. And I love wearing black all winter!

For me, summer is when the nights aren't dark... It's in-bread I think. Nordic light and all that.

Other than that, I view airy linen and shoes as essential here in the South of Europe... It's too hot to wear anything heavy...

White practically always looks fresh during summer. Paired with just about anything but black...

Lena I love your picks! they really put me in a summery mood :heart:

Anything in white cotton or linen says summer to me. *shrug*

Weekdays:
- dirty gray uniform t-shirt
- blue or greenish shorts
- various gimp bracelets
- old sandals/flip flops

Weekends:
Skirts, dresses, attempts at makeup, tank tops, occationally heels!
:rolleyes:
Anything that makes me not feel like some kind of grubby little boy.

(By the way, this job seems to be having the same effect on my co-worker. She's naturally an enormous tomboy. And apparently, whenever she now gets the chance, she's been straightening her hair and wearing makeup. And, she actually wore a skirt for her boyfriend, which almost never happens for her. Interesting...)

I go the opposite direction and tend to slob out in the summer. I do a lot of gardening and yard work, so I wear old cruddy clothes that can get muddy and sweaty. I also bike a lot, which involves a LOT of sweat, and while I do have to dress nicer for work, it is all clothing that can withstand being toted 3.7 miles in a backpack and changed into in a stall in the ladies' toilets.

I like bright candy-colors for summer clothing and lightweight, body-skimming cuts in breathable fabrics like cotton, linen, rayon, and blends of any of the above.

I love the excuse to wear big, floppy beach hats, too, though I generally seem to have a bicycle helmet on my head. :ninja:

Being all greasy with sunscreen kind of precludes any major makeup schemes, but I do have fun with fruity and lightweight summer perfumes. I find that sweat "seasons" CK1 into an excellent scent for me, but any other time of the year that I am not getting hot and heavily sweaty it otherwise stinks on me.

I don't have summer shoes because my feet are horrible and shouldn't see the light of day. I just wear my lumberjack boots, as I do all the rest of the year!

sundresses
wide floppy hats
big sunglasses
the scent of sunblock
bright colors or light soft colors
sandals
light fabrics
wavy hair (since it's typically too hot for me to want to straighten it all the time)

For me summer means:
Sunburns
An excessively dark tan
Suffocating heat
Hating my wardrobe because not even shorts and T-shirts seem cool enough
Hating all my colognes because the heat makes even the lightest fragrances too strong
Wishing for permanent winter

You can probably tell I don't like winter :angry:

I love summer, but the weather in Holland is so strange.

For me summer means:
swimming
dresses and skirts
ice cream
sunglasses
shorts

summer staples:

* short black shorts
* racerback tank tops
* light, floaty camisole tops
* flat sandals
* cotton sundresses
* long necklaces
* aviator sunglasses
