What Do You Consider As Petite?

I go by sewing pattern classifications. Petites patterns are for women 5'3" and under. Average is 5'3-57, Tall is 5'7 and up.

That's a pretty general rule of thumb. I have a friend who is 5'8 and actually does best with "average" proportioned patterns, and I knew a girl in college who fell squarely into the "average" height category, but had such a long torso that she was better off with "tall" proportioned clothing. She would buy dresses from the tall women's ranges at the shops and have me take the skirts up a couple of inches for her.

I go generally by height because I am not a small size like size 2 or anything but I need petite jackets sometimes to fit me in the shoulders because mine are small. It just depends on the brand and whatever works for you

I'm 5'7... I always considered that medium height for a girl... above average but not tall. Tall for a women is usually 5'8 sometimes but usually 5'9 and up.

yeah, i dont think 5'7 is tall at all .

as for the topic...i think petite is 5'6 and under and size 4 and under as well.
