What do YOU do to stay in shape?

In case y'all wanna know my secret to staying so damn thin (heroin thin, really:(

I smoke
I drink
I eat carbs like there's no tomorrow.

Also a tube of shock tarts and bottle of faygo cola every night before bed, which is usually in the wee hours of morning/after midnight.

CHEAH, holla at ya boy, the kid is doin big thangs this year.

in my effort to emulate sarah jessica parker's toned bod....

- weights
- cardio
- stretching
water, water, water
pure, from the ground food most of the time....although i did eat a tim tam (two chocolate biscuits sandwiching a thick layer of chocolate cream, coated in a chocolate outerlayer)...no comment.

Damn, Fade to Black, you sure are lucky!

thanks justlooking

now that i have read your comment i feel kinda guilty and it's probably gonna catch up to me by the time I'm in my 30's/40's. I'll be Mickey Rourke the second when I hit 50.

I'm sure you look gorgeous though if you can manage to get all that exercise done...

Well I do drink a lot of water...2-3 liters a day (not a LOT compared to some really health conscious people, but def. more than the average college student who seem to live off beer, starbucks and soda).

I recently started playing field hockey, so sprints, running a mile, and drills have been helping me...

ran a 5k on saturday and me, my sister and 2 of our friends are going to do it every 2nd and 4th saturday of the month! I jog/walk for exercise (i'm moving up the intensity though, speeding up!), weights, situps, variety of leg lifts and another ab exercise

my family is prone to being overweight if we dont stay active so i have been really motivated to do so i usually

run
dance
tai bo
and at the gym i do lunges/squats/cardio (walking on a treadmill at high incline for half an hour is amazing, although seems like little works so many muscles and I feel such a difference)

water and eat well

I need to start eating breakfast, would probably help me!

i was exactly like you. I never ate breakfast I hated it and I was never hungry in the am. i strongly advise you to force yourself to eat!! I like to get my favourite breakfast foods to indulge a bit in the morning (toast, english muffin or crumpet with either an egg scrambled or a yogurt for added nutrients) because it is the best meal to allow carbs and butter type things in. It also stimulates your brain and you will feel better and more energized througout the day.

hey what's tai bo?

Tae Bo is like a kickboxing workout! It's soooo much fun:woot: I really need to start doing it again. I just wish Billy Blanks wouldn't wear spandex:doh: If there's a library near by you might check to see if they have any of the videos:wink:

I don't eat much, so I'm rather skinny. after I started going to the gym 3 times a week I've noticed a huge difference, mostly around my ***..

Each and every day I skate on my rollerblades, plus I run. Every tuesday I excersie for two hours.

I horseback ride (it's actually quite a good workout if you're advanced enough and ride often enough) and I'm starting kickboxing lessons. I took a free trial lesson in kickboxing a month ago (October was a very busy month, so I couldn't enroll straight away) and I fell in love with how it energized me (well, I find that I'm always pretty energetic, but I felt so happy... yay for endorphins!). It helps that the majority of the class consists of hot, toned guys. And the fact that lululemon makes special kickboxing pants is yet another bonus. I'm totally enrolling this week. Oh, and I also volunteer at this stable for their Therapeutic riding program, where I lead horses around for three hours or so, every week. So I guess that's exercise as well, ESPECIALLY when they trot and I have to run along with the horse! And I do 200 crunches every night (except one night of the week, which I choose to be my "bad night").

What works well for you? How do you maintain your healthy body weight? Do you have any specific exercises, activites, etc that you'd reccomend?

you are lucky to get to horse ride, how fun!
what parts of the body does it exercise? do you knoe how many calories it burns??

These days I am too busy to go to a gym. I'm just about to move so I'm preparing for that. Usually I get off the subway early so I have a 30 minute walk to my destination and instead of getting on the nearest subway stop on my way home I also walk about 30 minutes. So I guess I'm walking a lot. And abs at home.
