I have a whiteboard thing where my friends scribbled little sayings and drawings....a mirror...2 blocks of fashion ads...a poster of old absinthe thingy...working on a collage wall of pictures I find inspiring
I'm an art history major so I have lots of art. I'm a bit of a collector (crazed)
2 (framed) 100 year old japanese paintings
1 (framed) swan-done by my bf (he is an artist)
Andy Warhol Marilyn print (framed)
Abstract print of city (framed)
6 (they vary in size) black and white photos of human sculpture --these are mostly from the cemetary (all framed)
Japanese woodblock of 2 flying cranes (framed)
Huge canvas with a VW motor on it (spray paint and stencil--done by my bf)
...oh and I have a calandar hanging on my wall too
Just in my bedroom, I have a mountain scene on one wall, and a Marilyn Monroe picture on the other... otherwise I just have chinese lamps hanging down (to add a bit of dimension). My room's very calm and peaceful. I love minimization in the bedroom space.
My walls are painted cream and one wall is white and a pearl coloured striped wall paper. And theres a pink wooden cut out which says "Paris" in running writing! And ive just got for my birthday a big pink and white pin board!! And i put pics of my friends and some nice pictures from magazines on it!!
lots of beautiful postcards, calendar with awesome pictures, Mercedes-Benz poster & skateboarding poster (from guys, lol), an Athens 2004 mascot, little paining from Greece, flowers, and many other superfluous things
i actually have about 3 separate frames of black and white photos of james dean. i had one of them given to me as a gift one xmas. and the other two are frames with 3 spots for pictures, and i took an old james dean calander and framed the pictures. so they all look like a set.
also, i have a framed drawing i did in grade 8 of leo dicaprio. i dont really have a crush on him now, but i got an award for that drawing so it stays framed
I have framed prints of masterpieces throughout my home. Monet and Renoir are my favorites. I even have them in bathrooms. I like the feel of being in an art gallery. very soothing when I come home.
i'm in transition right now so i'm keeping it mostly bare. i usually like to put friend's artwork on my walls. right now a giant oil painting a friend gave me for a graduation present awhile back.
i used to put coloraid on the walls to make giant paper murals (time consuming and expensive) a good substitute would be the free paint samples for the hardware store. oh, i also used to hang my purses on the wall as well...
my friend probably has the BEST room ever. striped white and blue wallpaper w/ nintendo clouds painted on top, and layers of paint built up (he uses it as a art studio). plus, irregular chunks of wood screwed into the walls transforming it into a mini rock climbing gym. also, a signed airplane barf bag from nikki sixx.
