I love packing simply to go anywhere, but my favorite place to do that is at the beach. I hate bringing loads of stuff! I am much happier with only a little bag of essentials. This year I've been bringing a towel, a tube of Zinka sunscreen spf 30, Einstein lip therapy, bottle of water, and my Canyon surfboard. And then I always make sure to either take a walk, go swimming, or go surfing - so that I feel tired when I get home, and not like I've just been sitting around.

I don't really go to the beach, but if I did I would bring the same items I take with me for long days in the park.

LL Bean boat and tote with: shawl, sunglasses, spf, bottle of water or diet coke, a packed lunch, makeup bag with smaller objects that I don't want to lose into the depth of the large tote. What else.. a blanket, and good friends for company. Then I'm ready to go.

I'm not really a typical beach go-er either. I love the shore...but when it's overcast and cool...walking miles along the sand looking for things that have been washed up by the sea.

For that, all I need is myself...and someone to walk and talk with.

I go to the beach to tan at least once a week when it's sunny and relatively warm, and I usually pack in a towel, a bottle of monoi oil (for tanning), a facial sunscreen, a bottle of Vitamin Water, my phone, a mirror, hair bands, full makeup case, my makeup brush case, at least two makeup palettes...pretty much everything that I normally take in my purse goes with me to the beach.

I bring with me the following:
1. sunblock
2. Water
3. Sunglasses
4. Beach towels (realllly big ones)
5. Cooler full of cold beers!

sunscreen, sunglasses, big beach umbrella, towel, book or magazine, water and big empty bucket to rinse off my feet before i go home (i hate sandy feet in the car)

Bucket is definatley a must, unless you go to a beach with showers on the way out...like third street south beach.

Oh that's a good idea. I never thought of that. I always just go home sandy and take a shower there, because the showers at the beach are freezing and unless you're there in the evening, you usually have to wait for others to go first. My husband is even worse, he gets sand all over the floor and sometimes even our sheets! I saw that you can buy your own personal shower ... pumps out hot water and everything ... that might be a good gift to get him someday. ^_^

Sunscreen, hair band, music, water and fruit, blanket. I never swim in the sea, so no need for towels. I do love my hair after swimming in salt water - I braid it, get it wet and let it dry.

I always carry a lot of things with me. :innocent:

Beach towel or two
Sunglasses
Summer straw hat
Extra t-shirt
iPhone/iPod
Book
Sunscreens and beach balm
Lip balm
Hair protection spray and hair oil, hair ties, Tangle Teezer
Water
Snacks (I can't help it, but I'm always hungry on the beach )
Thermal water spray
Often I even take a swimming pool float :ninja:

I'm at the beach all year round so it's hard to keep a regime, the only items I find essential are items I already carry with me at all times: sunglasses and camera/music.

I grew up with my mom carrying a towel but I've found that any cheap pashmina does the same job (pillow + sand remover) and I don't even carry a pashmina anymore, I can use my shoes as a pillow and remove sand with a jacket, or a sock. *beach bum*
