Hi everyone, I just was thinking today about how much I love my Ann Taylor blouse and I know we are always looking for something new, sexy and fashionable to wear so I wanted to start a thread on what people think is their favorite item of clothing as opposed to what they are wearing today.

So what is your favorite piece? What is your pride and joy? What do you feel makes you a true fashionista?

My Dior Skirt with zippers goin up on the front...it's really sl*tty, so that's probably why i love it

I have a hard time picking faves  I'm going to cheat and choose two. Sorry!

Both of my pieces I've had since high school (which is slightly over a decade for me ). They've both stood the test of time and always make me feel pulled together when I put them on. Interestingly enough, their both thrift store scores! I think that's partially why I love them, too, b/c I know no one else has them  Here goes:

1) blk velvet slim cut blazer w/ shell buttons
2) blk velvet vest w/ really subtle azure blue and brown flowers

Love them to bits and will be really upset if & when they bite the dust. I loathe replacing classics

i LIVE in blue denim bootleg jeans...it's just one of those "must haves" for me. I have SO many pairs in my wardrobe~ one for every occasion!!

scarves and hats are also a must!! cant live without them

my armani jeans that mould to me like nothing else

all my cotton tanks

my jeans definitely..but I have so many pairs that it's hard to choose.

It's a classic suitable for any occassion - when i want to dress down, when I want to dress up, when I just don't want to think what to wear...

^ I am sure there has been another thread like this in the past, but it's not coming up in search, so we'll just have a new one I guess.

I have this beautiful black fitted blazer that hugs me in just the right places

I just got a pair of True Religion jeans - 'Billy' style, straight leg, faded wash. I can hardly pry myself out of them.

Right now it's probably my Fidelity jeans, they're made by a guy in Vancouver, so it's nice that it's Canadian. Also, my sunglasses that i got from Aldo for like 12$

oohh

soooo hard to choose a single piece of clothing. Thought about my favourate pair of jeans, my black manolo's but it HAS to be my black fitted mink jacket - I wear it with jeans, with a skirt, pretty much anything and it si v warm and practical.

Then again, this time next week I'll probably change my mind and conclude it is something else

This is my favourite piece of clothing at the moment. It looks great with heels and a halter neck for a night out with the girls.^_^

It varies a LOT for me. I simply refuse to own clothes I don't like a lot, however I have a couple of items that it always makes me unspeakably happy to wear.

You have got to understand, the awesome power harnessed in this kind of intense polyester is a strength not lightly given to mortal woman. I am absolutely the Disco Queen when I wear this dress.

Glazed ultrasuede. It's not taseful, but it rocks my socks. I made this one, and I am really proud of how my plaid matches on all of the seams going around the dress!

Please excuse the appalling picture quality...I need to re-do these. Anyway, this dress is from the 1940s and it really kicked off my whole love of 1930-1960 fashion. It has buttons all the way down the back. Something like 40 of them. This dress was made right after the CC4 restrictions were removed. it has New Look length, but the skirt is still fairly slim-fitting, and the maker went mad with the buttons. I wore this for my graduation picture!

AsYouLikeIt, you should be...I think there's a name for it - when stripes match up like that they're called 'mitered', I think it probably applies to plaid, too...

This fabric is crazy, I've never seen something like that before. And your sewing skills are great.

I have so many favourites...to many to count really.

my black vintage full pleated skirt. I've worn it more times than I can possibly count. I adore it because it always looks perfect and I can dress it up or dress it down, depending on where I want to wear it.

also my full paisley printed cotton skirt that I made...it is uber feminine, eye-catching, and I always attract attention when I wear it.

and this empire-waisted black chiffon party dress...because it's very very sweet but also a little bit lolita...
