1. What do you think should be included in every good wardrobe? The most important pieces?
-I'm not going to say LBDs because that's too clique and I don't know if I would even want one myself. I might say a navy dress or white, lavender, powder blue etc.
-basic dresses that can be worn whenever
-other basics in general that can be mixed together easily to create different outfits. I guess it would be a lot of neutral colors, but I don't see why not have some colorful basics that can be mixed with the neutrals.
-for my own choice of shoe wear-mostly dressy and casual flats with maybe some kitten heels, flat boots, basic simple sneakers for casual wear
fitted blazers
great coats
a couple of favorite pieces one wants to wear over and over
I'm not including jeans because I'm tired of how often I wear them.
2. When cleaning out your closet, how do you decide what to ditch? How often do you throw stuff out?
It's really old and should have been thrown out a long while ago.
3. How is your closet organized? By color, products, designers?
The clothing is just in there hanging. No order to it. It's too small anyway.
4. What do you think your wardrobe says about you? Somewhat cutesy (can't really help that), feminine, non fussy, somewhat low maintenance. According to my mother color blind, but her ideas of how things need to be to match are boring and no fun.
5. What's your favorite piece of clothing in your wardrobe?
A couple of dresses I've gotten recently, my purple sweater and the brown one which is the same design, my boy blazer, my pink cardigan with the big buttons, my blue coat that needs to have its buttons sewn on better so I can actually wear it more, my winter hat I can't wear without getting frequent compliments.
6. What are you missing?
More dresses I can wear on a regular day, maybe another blazer or 2 (one green and one grey), more scarves that aren't specifically winter ones, a big floppy hat and a bowler hat.
7. Any advice on building or revamping a wardrobe?
Get things that can be mixed together easily.
on revamping: In my case, that means thinking slightly differently when it comes to how I would combine things and buying things that are a little different than what I normally pick but still suit my taste. I do need a revamping. I'm a little bored.
