What Skin Care Did You Use Today?

I would look into a gentle cleansing gel from Clarins, and a toner to use after cleansing and exfoliating. I really love the Clarins Gentle Exfoliating Refiner. Is your skin shiny? If it's shiny through your t-zone but not anywhere else (after two hours of cleansing) you have combo skin. If its shiny everywhere I would address it as oily. But something that some people with shiny/oily skin do is over-cleanse and aggravate skin more. So cleansing is not really necessary in the morning I dont think, just splash/pat water on, toner, serum and moisturizer, plus eye cream and sunscreen. Sunscreen should go on last.

Today skincare was
Dermalogica PreCleanse
La Prairie Foam Cleanser on Clarisonic Skincare Brush
Clarins Gentle Exfoliating Refiner (getting low, need to re-purchase but also interested in getting Karin Herzog's Mild Scrub with marble grains)
Biologique-Recherche P50V
Biologique-Recherche Creme Verte Espoir
Clarins Extra-Firming Eye Contour Cream

My skin is shiny only on my t-zone so I suppose its combination. Oh, and I tend to break out from time to time :(
That Clarins beauty repair concentrate you told me about before - is it ok for combination skin? Also I wanted to ask if it's ok to use serums in my age, I'm 24 and I'm not sure if serums are allowed only 30+ or am I mistaken?
I browsed Clarins website - they have stuff for oily skin, do you know if its any good? Or their line for sensitive skin is better?

The Skin Beauty Repair is for any skin type, not just sensitive. Their Sensitive Range is good, I've used it in the past, I would recommend the Day Lotion over the Day Cream. And yes, serums can be used in your 20's. I am 26. I've used a complete skin care range including several serums since about 19 or 18.

Thanks! :flower: ^_^ ;)

I'm sorry to disturb you, but any recommendations on a good sunscreen? Like moisturizer+ some SPF

Short and simple routine this evening

Dermalogica PreCleanse
La Prairie Purifying Cream Cleanser (this is lovely stuff)
La Prairie Cellular Softening and Balancing Lotion
La Prairie Cellular Retexturizing Booster
La Praiire Cellular Nurturing Anti-Redness Cream

No disturbance! ;) I use Natura Bisse sunscreens, they're pricey though, and I dont know if they sell them in the Ukraine. Check out Shiseido's Sunscreens, they're supposed to be excellent.

Cool ^_^
No, unfortunately we don't have any Natura Bisse here :(
Isn't that Shiseido suncare stuff for the beach? That in blue and yellow package.
I want some sunscreen to use in the city and plus during winter
Like maybe this? It's moisturizer but with SPF

No, its not just for the beach. The sun is still strong elsewhere. ^_^ Plus, SPF 15 really is not enough for protection. It lasts maybe 30 minutes. I wish companies wouldnt advertise SPF's on moisturizers or makeup, because people (this isnt directed at you, just saying ;) ) think that's enough for all-day protection and it's not! I remember giving a facial to a young woman once and a routine question I ask while examining her skin after cleansing it is if she wears sunscreen. Her response was, "It's in my powder."

Anyway I think everyone needs at least an SPF 30...there is argument that there is little difference between 15 and 30 but there is more protection, so I think you should at least visit a store with cosmetic counters...try the sun lotion or cream on your hand, maybe go outside with a little bit and see how it looks in natural light, you dont want anything gray, white or streaky (this is why I love Natura Bisse, they're flesh-toned and enhance the complexion) and I have not used the Shiseido ones myself, but a terrific place for advice on your skin is www.makeupalley.com
There's a "SkinCare Forum" there and many of the users love Shiseido sunscreens. You should register there...lots of good info. B)

thanks for advice, LetThemEatCake :) :flower:
I'm registered on makeupalley, I read some product reviews there, they're kind of mixed - some people hate the product while others praise it, so it's hard to make a decision judging on reviews.
anyways I think the higher SPF is the thicker the lotion => greasy skin :( When I'm on a vacation, I use SPF 15 for first days and than maybe SPF 8 or 4 for the rest of vacation, I thought it was enough  I think I should revise my skincare/suncare habits ^_^

I love exfoliating, but I think twice, maybe three times a week is best. You dont want to over-exfoliate. I know the Daily Microfoliant is minimal exfoliating action (I didnt like it when I used it) but I would skip to every other day if you love exfoliating.
You're using great products it looks like. :flower:

Thanks LTEC!

I'm very tempted to try the Biologique products that you're using/recommending, but I can't find them ANYWHERE!

Last night I used NB glyco peel and followed with Diamond extreme cream moisturizer and diamond Extreme eye cream.

^I'm incredibly tempted to try the NB Glyco peel, but I'm afraid that my skin wouldn't be able to take it.

Last night was a quick and simple one:
Bioderma Sensibio H20
Cetaphil cleanser for oily skin (from the derm)
SK-II Facial Clear Lotion
Decleor Prolagene Gel
SkinCeuticals Phyto+ Gel
Kiehl's Abyssine Eye Cream

The NB Glycolic Peel is incredibly gentle and it comes in three different strengths. 25% is what you should start out at.

The peel is one of the best products I've ever used and I've never had any bad reactions from it, you should definitely try it! Go to the Harrods counter and they will give you a ton of samples ^_^
