This was from the Spring 2002 collection where ,for the second time ,collaborated with an artist, this time Julie Verhoeven.

Born in 1969, English designer/artist Julie Verhoeven is much in demand for her creative direction and whimsical illustrations, which enjoyed much press attention for her 2002 collaboration with Marc Jacobs designing bags and accessories at Louis Vuitton. Having worked as a design assistant at Martine Sitbon, in Paris, and then John Galliano, in London, she worked on all aspects of the creative process from research, fabric sourcing, to designing prints and in-house illustration

I used it a few years back, but for some reason it wouldn't stay put.. i had to re-apply it, or retouch every now & then. I haven't tried it recently, i dont know if its texture changed.

right now i'm using MAC concealer, applying it with a brush..which could be too much of a hassle sometimes

i remember when those LV patch work bags came out i was dryyyyyyyyyyying to get the one with the mushroom, i thought it was so cute  but couldn't get my hands on one -- yours brought back heart breaking memories to me

do you feel that this bag is dated at all? like the grafitti & murakami ones?

thanks for the info trean ;) I really like her work but for some reason don't remember those bags. i must have been in la la land. voodoo, i also use mac concealer and apply it with a brush and then sort of blend with the brush/finger and my only problem is that sometimes it makes my dark circles look sort of grayish and i'm not sure if they stand out more now than they did to begin with. I checked out the touche eclate but wasn't sure if it would work for me. because i don't remember the bag i obviously don't remember the hype but this bag to me is more art-y as opposed to the graffitti and murakami which were/are...like they're more about the hype now then about the design and colors. if people had left the murakami alone it would have been like that but no, everyone had to jump on the murakami and train and thus, sadness

I don't know if it's dated,I never regretted buying it and I still wear it,I don't think I would care if it is ;)

I remember not seeing a lot of these bags, until now I only saw 1 or 2 people carrying it,and not so many fakes too, unlike the Murakami

(2 carry ons + i giant duffel + luggage with wheels) I'm going to Washington DC in late September, and San Francisco in late October. I'll see if I can practice streamlining my belongings to a lighter load.
