What's your best color?

Stilettogirl84- sorry to bother, but can you tell me what I am?
this is my post:
http://www.thefashionspot.com/forums/2761862-post74.html

I know I said I had platinum hair, and i did, but it is now a medium brown again. I'm at the halfway point and will dye it a richer deeper brown next week. Obviously I'm fickle with my hair. THank you if you can diagnose my season!:flower::heart:

looks like winter for you too

black emerald green royal purple, navy, does that sound right?

Thank you so much.^_^ You are a gem and a jewel.

I guess that sounds ok, but the truth is I have no idea what looks good or bad on me so I don't know if it "sounds right" really. The only color I can think of that I NEVER wear is red. I will go look up color and makeup for "Winter" people now. At least I know where to start....

I have olive skintone, brown/green eyes and light brown hair. I think I look best in red, green and dark shades, black, purple etc. Any suggestions what my season might be?

I'm not sure what you mean by "brown" skin- do you mean you've got a tan or that you are not white?

Generally blue eyed blond scananavian types are summers- look good in pale blue pale pink, and gray- colors like that.

they also look horrible in bright orange or yellow. If that sounds like you, then you're probably a summer

I'm a bit tanned. But thanks =D

Thanks so much, stilettogirl. Hmm, so that means my hair colour clashes with my skintone then? I should colour 'winter' colours. LOL!

sounds like winter, but I can never really tell from descriptions very accurately

winters are supposed to look good in red, so now I really don't know. My second guess for you was Autumn, but they also look good in red it jsut depends on what shade OF red.

what is your natural hair color?

i have dark chocolate brown hair, green eyes and very fair skin.

i look best in black, dark brown, red and green.

sounds like either winter or autumn

can you wear orange and look good? If you look bad in orange, then you would be a winter. If you look good in orange, then an autumn

sounds like you are an autums- you have similar coloring to me and I am an autumn- I look best in dark earth tones like moss/olive green chocolate brown, burnt orange, dark red.

I look worst in baby pinks or blues. I look ok in some jewel-ish colors, like some burgundys/ pums/ but only if they're a little brownish true jewel colors like bright purple or emerald green or electric blue- make me look like death :ninja:

Greens look terrible on girls with olive skin- it brings out the olive (green) undertone! I"m in the same boat skin tone wise with dark brown hair and eyes and fair but olive skin! It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't so fair. I look practically white in pictures!

with warm coloring that green would not be great-

I have similar coloring to you (autumn), and these are greens that suit my skintone

If you are olive put one of these tops on and take a look at your face. I would turn pea green wearing these tops.

it depends if its a warm complexion or not- why_fashion was saying she had a golden tone to her skin. And anyway I cant tell anything without seeing at least a picture

I have warm toned skin and those greens look good on me. Some girls with olive coloring are winters- meaning they look horribe in earth tones, and would look best in a color green like she originally posted.

others, with warm undertones, look good in the colors I posted and would look bad in the one she posted.

It really depends on what my hair colour of the moment is, when I'm brunette it's white and when I'm blonde it's hot pink

Hey stilettogirl84- I bought that book at barnes and noble yesterday, "Color Me Beautiful". I'm trying to learn your skills. I'm bringing in to work because now all my coworkers (at BR) want to know their colors too. THis is so fascinating!

My mother introduced me to it- The book is obviously really dated, but the concept is still true.

I was dissapointed at first to find out I was an autumn. I wanted to be a winter (like my avatar) but I've grown to love my colors because they look good on me, and all my clothes go together really easily now.

i dont think i look good in orange, so i think im winter.

Could someone help me with figuring out what kind of colours suit me the best? I am and look very Scandinavian, I have quite pale skin, blonde hair and blue/grey eyes. I have recently started to pay a lot more attention to what colours suit me, and have noticed that paler colours such as pale blue or beige don't suit me at all, while darker blues and greens seem to look very good. Am I just colour blind or could this be true?

you could be a winter- the main thing to avoid with your skincolor is warm colors- orange, yellow, some reds, earthy colors. you should look good in cool blues and greens and purples
