i saw Whitney at the new Topshop in NY yesterday. i never realized how TALL she is!

IS Whitney Port leaving her post at Diane von Furstenberg? A source tells Page Six that the star of MTV's "The City" was beaten out for a promotion by co-worker Olivia Palermo, who got the plum job of working as a publicist for DvF in London. Port is said to be filming scenes for the show's second season at p.r. firm People's Revolution -- her previous employer. We're also told that Elle creative director Joe Zee, who made a cameo appearance on "The City" last season, will be back for the six-episode second run with a larger part. An MTV spokesperson tells Page Six, "We are currently shooting the next season of episodes, and since the show is in production, we don't comment on upcoming story lines." Asked whether Zee is joining the show, a rep for Elle said, "Unfortunately, we can't comment on this."

The source is PageSix, so I don't know how reliable this story is...but they're claiming that she is no longer "working" for DVF.

It kinda makes sense that she isn't working for DVF anymore, I read an article online somewhere that she didn't really do anything at DVF except rock up to filming, whereas they had a quote from Kelly Cutrone saying that everything you saw Whitney do for PR was real and she was a great worker. So maybe Whitney has decided she would rather go back to a real job rather than do nothing for a fake one?

Can't say I'm digging the long leather jacket, and especially not those strappy leather shoes!

I noticed today that oh-whitney.com has shut down which is quite sad because it had the best collection of screencaps from both the hills and the city. I should've saved some of the pictures when I had the chance. I checked out a few other Whitney fansites but none of them have screencaps. I don't like that they are trying to sell her as a modern day Carrie Bradshaw. It's NEVER gonna happen, in my eyes anyways. They're both blonds, but that's where the similarities end.
